Doing Great Work

Doing Great Work

I’m excited to say that my painting in today’s post, Look Both Ways will be included in the 2010 National Watercolor Society Exhibition that opens later this month in San Pedro, California.  It was a breakthrough painting for me, it’s one of my favorites, and I am so thrilled that the jurors liked it too!

Tending Your BAAGS

Tending Your BAAGS

Quitters never win, and winners never quit. Unknown
The year is half over, which makes this a great time to check in and see how you’re doing with your BAAGS – your big audacious art goals (see my March 1, 2009 post: What’s in Your BAAG?). Here are 4 ideas to help you get started with your check-in:

Finding the Enchantment

Finding the Enchantment

The City Series

The City Series

I have four “official” series currently in process; a Figure Series, a City Series, an Interior Series, and a fledgling Landscape Series that at this time contains only 3 paintings. These four series represent subjects I’ve been exploring over that past ten or so years. The painting above is part of my City Series, titled Big Yellow Taxi.
Happy Painting!

5x5

I am a watermedia painter and I teach painting workshops all around the country. As anyone who knows me or has taken one of my workshops can attest to, I love talking about art, thinking about art, reading about art, writing about art, looking at art, and practicing art - so grab a cup of coffee, join me in the studio and let's talk art!
