I’m back in the studio again after teaching a watercolor workshop for Kanuga Watermedia Workshops in Hendersonville, North Carolina. I had a class of 26 fabulous students and I learned as much from them as they learned from me! Kanuga workshops are wonderfully run by Robbie Laird and her husband Will. Held at the Kanuga Conference Center in the Blue Ridge Mountains, there were 12 instructors teaching this year as well as an independent study class. Students stay at the Kanuga Inn or in cottages – both on the grounds. The fact that there are no clocks, phones, or TVs in the rooms makes this place truly an artist’s retreat. The week was spent immersed in art – what a delight!

Here are a few of the paintings done in my workshop by some very talented artists. If anyone from the workshop has photos they would like me to post here – send them to me in an e-mail attachment at donnazagotta@chartermi.net.
