Special Announcement!

I would like to encourage all of you to join me in The Silhouette Project. I think it’s going to be a fun and stimulating way to learn the construction, proportions, and anatomy of the figure. And as an added incentive, I will enter the name of everyone who commits to participating in The Silhouette Project into a drawing, and the prize is going to be a copy of my brand new DVD, The You Factor: Powerful Personal Design in Opaque Watercolor.

If you would like to participate in The Silhouette Project and a chance to win my DVD, here’s what to do: read my 3 posts on The Silhouette Project, which have all the information you need to get started. Next, decide on the number of silhouettes you will paint and set a deadline; for example, I have committed to painting 1000 silhouettes in 100 days. Choose a number that feels reasonable for you and a number you’re confident you can reach. It can be something like 10 silhouettes in one week, 10 silhouettes a day for the next week or for the next month, 100 silhouettes in 5 days, or a silhouette a day for the next year – whatever works for you. This is one of those skills where the more you do, the better you become; the more you invest, the more the return on your investment will be.

Then, send me an Email at and put The Silhouette Project on the subject line. In your Email, include the number of silhouettes you will paint, your deadline, and your name and home address.

The deadline for entering is Saturday, 26, and the winner will be announced the following week.

Good Luck and Happy Painting!
